About the Role:

Adlumin is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer who will be responsible for using their knowledge of programming languages to code user-side applications, including visual elements like menu bars, clickable buttons and the overall layout of websites or web applications. Their duties include communicating with clients to identify their needs, optimizing websites for different formats like desktops and mobile phones and running tests to ensure code strings perform the correct functions.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams including Product, Design, Data Science and more.
Use a variety of languages including HTML, CSS (SCSS), JavaScript and Ruby to build features, fix bugs, write tests and prototype solutions.
Provide expertise to help define best practices for UI development.
Ensure Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are satisfied.
Routinely test for ease of use, speed, and other quality factors.
Work to ensure the very best user experience for end users.

Position Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
At least five (5) years of professional, Front End development experience including HTML, CSS (SCSS) Bootstrap, JavaScript (Vanilla ES6 and jQuery).
Familiarity with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
Familiarity with version control tools like Git, Bitbucket or Github.
At least five (5) or more years of demonstrated experience in a full-time or corporate environment
The ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams to deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment.
US Work authorization

Preferred qualifications:

Professional experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
Familiarity with Rails 7 features like Hotwire including Stimulus, Turbo Frames and Turbo Streams
Strong knowledge of CSS frameworks, especially Bootstrap.
Familiarity with Material Design for Bootstrap
Familiarity with jQuery Datatables
Familiarity with View Components
