Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer of Veranex, the Senior Vice President of Marketing develops marketing strategy in line with the Company’s vision and objectives, and builds the team, tools, and processes to affect the outcomes of brand awareness and aggressive, profitable growth.

The SVP of Marketing will position Veranex as the preferred provider of professional services to the medical technology industry, enabling their go-to-market success. To achieve that end, the SVP will recruit, assess, and develop a global team of professionals who drive and measure quantifiable results in strategy, differentiated brand awareness, product messaging, content development (across multiple media), trade show presence, and lead generation that leads to profitable growth across all Veranex offerings.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy and accompanying tactics to establish and position Veranex as an industry leader and drive demand and aggressive, profitable growth for Veranex offerings
  • Establish a keen understanding of the competitive landscape and industry dynamics of Veranex’s clients and competitors; identify and evaluate opportunities for strategic leverage and growth.
  • Develop relationships with key constituencies within the global medical device industry – med tech firms, KOLs, conference organizers, investors, etc.
  • Create and execute within a well-defined Operating Plan and budget, adjusting as needed in a dynamic evolving marketplace
  • Identify, evaluate, and continually improve processes, tools, and systems to achieve outcomes more efficiently
  • Attract, hire, optimize, and develop a global team of world-class marketing professionals
  • Develop, maintain, and regularly evaluate the value of relationships with agencies, vendors and service partners; optimize “make vs. buy” decisions to improve effectiveness.
  • Actively participate in the strategic and annual planning processes, taking a proactive role in the formulation of strategic initiatives and objectives
  • Motivates, leads, and empowers others to achieve organizational goals by demonstrating passion and enthusiasm for the Veranex vision and inspires and leads others to high levels of performance
  • Builds trusted relationships with multidisciplinary stakeholders inside and outside the Company
  • Develops and manages the global marketing budget, assessing the effectiveness of various tactics and optimizing resources accordingly
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with key clients and vendors to facilitate the accomplishment of business goals
  • Maintains and advances industry working group and association relationships in collaboration with the Chief Commercial Officer and business development leaders throughout the company.
  • Works in partnership with all functional and executive stakeholders of Veranex, especially with BU General Managers, sales leaders,and delivery teams to ensure appropriate messaging and successful sales efforts

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field and more than 15 years of experience in senior level management, customer-facing marketing roles within the medical device and/or professional service (or related) industry
  • Demonstrates understanding market requirements for the full spectrum of “concept to commercialization” lifecycle within medical technology firms of any scale, from start-up to large-cap strategic firms.
  • Demonstrates ability to build new brands and efficiently integrate acquisitions with sub-brands
  • Experience with designing and implementing an operational “framework” or “system” that produces successful marketing strategies that drive company value
  • Ability to assimilate complex issues and use appropriate communication strategies to influence diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated success in building, developing, and leading high functioning marketing teams
  • Strong ability to work across multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally with demonstrated success in driving strategic messaging and increasing sales activity

Preferred:

Graduate degree in Marketing or Business
