About The Role:

The Community Development team is looking for a Sr. Project Manager to help us build and drive community projects to completion. This role will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Operations.

  • Oversee project management initiatives through the creation of shared scope, goals, milestones, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope, assessing risks, and setting quality and performance standards during the project lifecycle
  • Lead cross-functional teams composed of individuals from Community Development to drive community projects to completion that support strategic business initiatives
  • Share learnings with the broader organization and contribute to our community strategy’s overall development and involvement in the Fortis portfolio of games

What You’ll Achieve:

  • Help lead day-to-day project management efforts of the Community Development team that reinforce the company vision, mission, and values:
  • Coordinate and lead project teams to ensure maximum performance by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment by identifying scope, creating objectives, building schedules, drafting budgets, assessing and mitigating risks, and implementing plans
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget to meet objectives and deliverables
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
  • Coordinate with other members of the Community Development team to ensure the seamless integration of project management initiatives that support both our external communities and internal Development teams
  • Become an expert in effectively managing a complicated innovation organization

  • A holistic view of organizational best practices around communication, transparency, and culture – particularly as they apply to community engagement and disciplines
  • A willingness to experiment and craft new means of connecting with our external communities and fostering strong relationships
  • Ability to communicate your processes to persuade senior leaders, community leads, and development leads of their value and efficacy
  • Ability to articulate the nuances of various approaches to tactical operations and the tradeoffs associated with different paths
  • Ability to synthesize feedback from community teams and refine your project management approach to ongoing development
  • Enthusiasm for directing, mentoring, and otherwise elevating the people around you to do their best work
  • A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn – we believe this is essential to our ability to stay ahead of the market and value this over years of experience
  • We expect our leaders to continue being students of their craft
  • You should be educated on the latest trends and strongly understand how they relate to our current and future projects
