Sales Development Representative
As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll play a pivotal role on the frontline of our organization. Responsible for generating new business opportunities for the entire Sophos product line through the qualification of inbound leads and outbound prospecting efforts.
What You Will Do:
- Exceed monthly KPI’s for the creation of sales accepted leads (SALs) and pipeline contribution.
- Manage a funnel of inbound leads generated through marketing efforts strategically crafting and prioritizing responses in alignment with the specified action plan.
- Hunt for net-new logo and current customer cross-sell opportunities using outbound prospecting techniques leveraging tools such as ZoomInfo, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6Sense, G2, and more.
- Meet daily metrics for number of calls, emails, and other prospecting activities.
- Effectively communicate with Sophos prospects and customers using phone, email, LiveChat, SMS, and our Sales Engagement Platform ( Outreach.io ).
- Communicate authentically with passion, conviction, and integrity.
- Ability to articulate Sophos company / product value in discovery calls, phone calls, and email exchanges.
- Develop and nurture robust relationships with sales counterparts (account executives, engineers) to collaboratively generate strategic highly productive campaigns for top-tier results.
- Perform research on companies as a component of lead generation and qualification utilizing given research tools.
- Effectively map out organizations and make cold calls targeting IT administrators, management personnel, and C-suite executives.
- Ask effective probing, business-oriented questions, and challenge prospects to reveal pains in their business that might be solved with improved cybersecurity.
- Develop detailed summaries of qualified leads for AE’s and our Partners to understand their business pain, stakeholders, decision process, and motivation.
- Update CRM (Salesforce Lightening ) with quotes, conversation notes, competitive information, company size, decision making criteria and other pertinent information.
- Attend and participate in weekly / monthly assigned sales team meetings.
- Provide feedback to marketing teams that will help improve our prospecting and demand generation programs.

In Canada, the cash compensation for this role ranges from $62,000 to $83,000. This includes a base salary component and target sales commissions component. In addition to this cash compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package. A candidate’s specific pay within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, training, location, experience, relevant education, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
