About The Role:
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Quality Assurance Tester to join Shardeum’s engineering team. A QA Tester working on the Shardeum project will be responsible for taking ownership of – and executing on – a series of test plans related to our Layer 1 blockchain.
Responsibilities:
- Perform execution of QA tasks to ensure our features are of the highest quality
- Utilize a variety of testing strategies including regression, functional and user acceptance tests on all products
- Run already established automation tests and tooling to ensure high levels of quality and correctness
- Assist in maintaining established test scripts and test automation frameworks
- Identify and document defects and issues in software applications
- Review software bug reports and identify software weaknesses
- Deliver independently on a scope of work with minimal instruction.
Requirements:
- 2+ Years of QA Testing experience, preferably in a startup environment
- Familiarity with command line tools like Linux and Git, and the ability to learn internal custom tools quickly
- Ability to facilitate and communicate the status of issues to engineers
- Thorough knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies
- Strong written skills and technical documentation experience
- The ability to adapt to different projects and platforms with minimal issues
- The desire to work in a highly ambiguous, fast moving environment
Nice to Have:
- Keen interest in blockchain and decentralized technologies.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, and the ability to effectively navigate the tool
Ideal Location For This Role:
This is a fully remote role, however we prefer candidates who can work during or overlap with the US time zones.
