PR & Events Manager

Roomex (part of FLEETCOR) is currently looking to hire a PR & Events Manager within our Marketing and Events management team . This position falls under our Roomex line of business and will be remote with the need to travel to and from London and surrounding area on a frequent basis. In this role, you will play a key role in managing our company’s presence at trade shows, generating brand awareness, managing advertising relationships and handling public relations. You will report directly to the Marketing Director and regularly collaborate with sales teams on events and trade shows.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Management:

  • Plan, organise, and execute participation in industry trade shows and events.
  • Plan, organise, and execute Roomex events for customers, prospects and suppliers.
  • Coordinate logistics, booth design, and materials needed for trade shows.
  • Work with vendors and partners to ensure a successful event presence.
  • Prepare and manage the budget for events and PR activities.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors.
  • Measure and report on the success of each event.

PR & Advertising:

  • Develop and implement a PR strategy tailored to relevant industries.
  • Write and distribute press releases, and manage media inquiries.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry journalists and influencers.
  • Monitor and report on PR campaign performance and media coverage.
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant trade and industry organisations.
  • Report on brand awareness KPIs.

Brand Awareness Development:

  • Create and execute strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with other brands, influencers, or organisations.
  • Plan and execute brand awareness campaigns across multiple channels, online and offline.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (at least 3-5 years) in PR and/or event management, preferably in a B2B industry.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with third parties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office and PR/event management software.
