PR & Corporate Communications Manager

We are hiring a PR & Communications Manager to join the SailPoint marketing team. This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications and will support the day-to-day global PR program and overall communications strategy to help evangelize our market vision, enhance our reputation as a leader in identity security, promote thought leadership globally as well as oversee our social media presence.

The PR & Communications Manager will be a key contributor to developing content that supports the PR program and will regularly interact directly with C-level executives to bolster their thought leadership profiles. Additionally, the SailPoint blog and the recently launched Identity Hub are critical platforms and channels for us. The PR & Communications Manager will be responsible for their continued growth ensuring SailPoint is THE source for all things identity security.

The SailPoint corporate communications team is known for being efficient, effective and impactful. The right person for this job will be quick on their feet, able to shift gears swiftly but effectively and bring a high level of passion and enthusiasm for keeping SailPoint’s voice strong, active and engaged externally.

Key responsibilities include:

• Help manage global PR agencies’ day-to-day work, ensuring each has access to the messaging, content, spokespeople and customers needed to drive consistent results.
• Help to develop press releases that promote our technology innovations, product news and broader company updates.
• Work closely with executives and key spokespeople on media interviews and commentary opportunities, including arranging interviews, participating in prep calls and any follow-up items required.
• Work closely with product marketing around SailPoint product launches from drafting press releases, blogs and providing social media “aircover” support
• Develop a variety of content (blog posts, bylined articles, speaker abstracts, award submissions, etc.) on behalf of specific leadership and/or subject matter experts to keep their thought leadership profiles active and highly visible.
• Monitor and contribute to SailPoint’s social media presence.
• Track and report on monthly metrics that inform our larger PR and communications strategy and goals.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is comfortable with all aspects of public relations, including a strong sense of urgency and ability to juggle competing priorities simultaneously. This person should also be a self-starter with motivation to tell the SailPoint story in a variety of ways and from a variety of perspectives and angles to help SailPoint consistently break through the noise in the media. Finally, the ideal candidate will have an incredibly strong writing background as a large portion of this job is based on providing solid written work that will feed our PR, thought leadership, and social program on a global scale.

• Demonstrated PR success, including experience executing product launches, media tours and global byline programs
• Strong judgment and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to urgent PR matters

• Experience working with leadership and subject matter experts on ghost-written content
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written (writing samples required)
• Outstanding attention to detail and ability to communicate complex topics effectively
• Familiarity with PR and social media management platforms (Business Wire, Sprout Social, Employee Advocacy, WordPress, etc.)
• 5-7+ years of experience in PR and/or communications, preferably in B2B technology (agency experience required)
• A bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or related field required
