OVERVIEW

The eLearning and Multimedia Localization Engineer is tasked with the preparation, engineering, and localization of multimedia educational content to meet specific client requirements.

This role involves adapting eLearning materials to suit different cultural and linguistic contexts while ensuring technical compatibility across various platforms. The engineer is expected to deliver all projects with high-quality standards and within designated timelines, effectively enhancing the educational experience for diverse learner populations. Main Duties
Setting up and maintaining structured file systems for efficient localization processes.
Utilizing and managing localization tools to streamline operations.
Managing resources and maintaining standards tailored to each client’s needs.
Communicating project processes related to technology and tools to project managers.
Managing version control systems for file integrity.
Tracking and fixing defects in localized deliverables.
Providing technical support and developing solutions for potential issues in audio, video, and graphic projects.
Ensuring the localized content retains the original design, appearance, and functionality in line with client specifications.
Editing and quality checking of graphics, audio, and video to meet high standards.
Testing multimedia components pre-localization to confirm functionality.
Leading improvement initiatives for multimedia localization processes.
Training production teams on the effective use of localization tools.
Proactively escalating issues to business unit leaders and communicating with the Global Production Manager regarding project status and team issues.
Leading large, complex multimedia localization projects and providing project-level technical direction.
Supervising and providing guidance to team members. Skills and Experience
Proven track record in localization and post-production media with expertise in multiple software tools including Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and others listed.
Demonstrated mastery in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate.
Extensive knowledge of multimedia production processes and eLearning platforms.
Proficiency in various Learning Management Systems (LMS), understanding their functionalities and limitations.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills in a culturally diverse environment.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility with a strong ability to adapt to new technologies.
Experience with multiple operating systems, such as Windows and Macintosh.
A comprehensive understanding of the localization industry beyond engineering. Educational Level
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
