Middle Java Developer

About Our Customer:

The American memorabilia manufacturer is primarily known for producing yearbooks and class rings for high schools and colleges. The company also produced photobook products for Disney’s PhotoPass photography service at theme parks and resorts. In addition to its headquarters near Minneapolis and operational offices in Owatonna, Minnesota, the customer has facilities throughout the United States.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years background in Java, rest, Spring Web, Spring boot
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB
  • Experience with e-commerce
  • Competency in IBatis and writing complex SQL queries in Oracle and SQL Server
  • Knowledge of using Eclipse, SVN, GIT, JIRA, Visio, Jenkins, ANT, Maven
  • Ability to read classic ASP code and fix a few buys if needed
  • In-depth understanding of SDLC and CI/CD processes
  • Availability to work in CST timezone (Brazil +3h; Colombia +1h)

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with Flash/FlexProficiency in front-end languages such as React JS, handlebars bootstrap, AJAX, JQuery, JavaScript, and CSS
  • ElasticSearch, AWS

English level:

Intermediate+

Responsibilities:

  • Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented Java
  • Performing code review and UI optimization
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and ship new features
  • Participating actively in discussions, presentations, and decisions about front-end development, web applications, mobile apps, etc.
  • Working on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Working in Scrum teams
