IT Cybersecurity Manager

The IT Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for managing a team of individuals that will collaboratively monitor information flowing inside and outside of Ferrellgas’ IT network, monitoring cybersecurity threats, and identifying measures to protect the integrity of Ferrellgas’ information systems and data.

Responsibilities:

  • Trains employees companywide, as needed, on appropriate security measures.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on cyber-security technology and ways to prevent potential threats for the organization.
  • Monitors internal and external security policy compliance and effectiveness.
  • Conducts vulnerability testing to identify and address vulnerabilities.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on Cyber Security protection, detection, response, and recovery.
  • Ensures all security tools and technology remain secure.
  • Actively works to reduce Cyber Security risks.
  • Collaborates with business partners to ensure new technology is implemented securely.
  • Provides ongoing support, guidance, and mentorship to direct reports.
  • Frequently communicates with business partners about reduction of cyber security risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5+ years experience in a combination of risk management, information security and IT jobs, preferably in your company’s vertical market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal and collaborative skills; and the ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Knowledge of technological trends and developments in the area of information security and risk management.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve tactical and strategic goals.
  • Degree in business administration or a technology-related field, or equivalent work- or education-related experience.
  • Proficient with personal computers; experience with productivity software, such as Windows, Microsoft Office software and so forth.
  • Knowledge of security and control frameworks, such as ISO 17799, CobiT, COSO and ITIL.
  • High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
  • High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
