ezCater is looking for a Devops Engineer to join our MSI Engineering team which is part of the Partner Solutions team. This team is responsible for foundational capabilities, building and maintaining services that serve workloads related to menus, orders, users, payments, identity / authentication, and third-party service integrations. As a Devops role in this domain, you’ll be guiding us on our new cloud infrastructure expansion and support our Day-to-day software development life cycle, and a number of other fundamental tech capabilities, helping ezCater to grow its engineering backbone and setting us up for the long haul.

Our working environment is primarily distributed with an ability to gather in flexible office space to collaborate. Our team resides in the metro Vancouver / lower mainland area of BC, and a successful candidate will ideally live in this area in order to participate in on-site collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn the existing MSI cloud (we use Azure) and on-premise environment. In the meantime, create documentation for future reference and training
• Build and maintain both cloud and on-premise CI/CD pipelines
• Automate and maintain code deployment to various environments in the cloud.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and metrics capabilities
• Monitor Azure System health dashboard and metrics
• Work closely with Engineers to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and architecture of our cloud environment
• Manage and scale cloud-based containerized infrastructure
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement new features
• Carryout software/system/cloud infra upgrades/updates in a timely manner with Engineers
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise
• Cost saving – ensure we are spending wisely on cloud infrastructure

What You Have:

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps principles, Azure DevOps, PowerShell, docker, AKS.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools
• Have a good understanding and have the experience of creating Azure services using Infrastructure as code
• 2 plus years experience with containerization and deployment using Kubernetes and Docker
• Extensive full-stack web development experience.
• Working knowledge of server-side and client-side frameworks. Java and Coldfusion (nice to have)
• Good knowledge SQL / relational database experience (we use AzureSQL)
• Goal orientation and a record of success managing cloud infrastructure
• A strong appetite for solving problems while dealing with high levels of ambiguity

The national cash compensation range for this role is $101,000 – $115,000* CAD per year
