Job Description:

DTN has an exciting opportunity for a Content Editor to join our content team on a full-time remote basis.

What you will be responsible for:

• Editing and posting media content across various platforms for publication.
• Verifying facts presented by editors and reporters.
• Tailoring content to match the company’s editorial style and relevant customer segments.
• Applying professional expertise to amend errors related to spelling, punctuation and grammar.
• Enhancing readership by exercising judgment and offering expert advice.

What you will bring to the role:

• 2+ years of experience editing journalistic content for digital media
• Proficiency in desktop publishing software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Business journalism editing experience a plus
• Experience in an agriculture-related journalism environment is beneficial
• Capable of operating effectively within a highly collaborative team environment
• Preferred candidate will be based in Omaha, NE or Birmingham, AL markets

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $52,500 and $70,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
