The Opportunity:

As the Chief of Staff to the Chief Technology and Product Officer, you will work directly for the CTPO as an advisor and thought partner responsible for enabling the CTPO and their organization in defining, operationalizing and delivering on strategic outcomes for the company. As an integral member of the CTPO’s leadership team and an astute operations leader, you will collaborate with the team to ensure existence of a highly reliable roadmap at all times, timely delivery, improved productivity and quality of product development. You will also be a critical partner to Technology and Product stakeholders across the business, communicating strategies, plans and progress while being relentless at rapidly removing obstacles and avoiding silos. You will help the CTPO organization put its best foot forward across the company through your facilitation and preparedness for interactions at all levels. Your work will include contribution to product direction, go-to-market activities, strategic planning, program management, team analytics, executive meetings, and communications. This role requires a highly resourceful, self-driven individual with the ability to partner, execute, and lead through influence across the company.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operations
  • Own the operations of the CTPO organization by creating and refining SDLC processes that increase the quality, timeliness and efficiency of product delivery.
  • Own the creation, evolution, measurement and reporting of OKRs within the CTPO organization and to external stakeholders.
  • Own monthly release planning across the organization, drive monthly and quarterly product delivery reviews within the organization using scorecards, and facilitate company-wide product demos of deliverables.
  • Identify and resolve operational gaps with actionable, data-guided recommendations. Create systems and processes that will avoid such problems in the future.
  • Have a strong pulse at all times of burning and upcoming issues across the business and rally the CTPO organization to be proactive and responsive in addressing the relevant ones.
  • Team
  • Lead weekly CTPO leadership team meetings, offsites and Product CAB meetings by setting agendas, facilitating meetings, ensuring clear owners, and owning follow-ups.
  • Manage hiring plans and staffing investments in partnership with FP&A.
  • Research, document and offer recommendations to keep the CTPO organization on a path of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across the business to enable and prepare the CTPO for customer meetings, conferences and events.
  • Communications
  • Enable the CTPO (and act as the voice of the CTPO) to communicate strategic, and operational updates from the CTPO organization across the company.
  • Support the CTPO in setting overall communication strategy, planning of internal events including All-Hands, and help align internal communications within the organization.
  • Create feedback loops up, down and across teams from 1:1s, and improve communication and visibility throughout the organization.
  • Distill and cascade core tenets of the Technology and Product strategy across the organization.
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the CTPO across all functions of the company as necessary, speak as their representative when appropriate, and take key decisions. Be a highly-accessible CTPO representative for other major functions, including Marketing, Sales, HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance and Legal.
  • Strategy
  • Provide the CTPO with insightful data-driven recommendations in all facets of the organization’s operation.
  • Lead special, strategically chosen projects on behalf of the CTPO and drive them across the business.
  • Ensure strategy cascades to the broader organization.
  • Obtain cross-functional business knowledge to understand issues, trends, and perspectives that may influence the business and connect the dots for key stakeholders to drive increased alignment.

Who You Are:

  • 12+ years of related experience with 5+ years of experience working in a product first company.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills, with the ability to shape product strategies and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Proven program management and organizational planning experience, including overseeing multiple initiatives and delivering high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC and ability to guide the entire organization.
  • Embodies a sense of urgency and ability to navigate ambiguity in working strategically and collaboratively across the company to get things done.
  • Possesses an innate organizational awareness and ability to anticipate and address challenges proactively.
  • Exceptional verbal, presentation, listening and written communication skills including in producing executive-ready artifacts, with the ability to inspire and align teams towards a common vision.
  • Ability to influence and drive processes through internal stakeholders.

Nice To Have:

  • Experience working closely with C-level executives or senior leadership teams.
  • Previous experience as a Chief of Staff driving end to end strategic outcomes from product conception, delivery through go-to-market.
