Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Design Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in CAD and Revit, with experience in System Surveyor being a significant advantage. The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design process from initial survey through to final design completion, managing a team of 3-5 CAD operators and field survey personnel.

Lead and manage a team of 3-5 CAD operators, field survey and Project Management/ workflow personnel.
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Provide mentorship and training to team members to foster their professional growth and ensure high-quality output. Project Management
Manage the entire design process from initial survey to final design completion.
Coordinate with clients to understand their design requirements and ensure these are met.
Develop project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.
Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines. Design and Technical Expertise
Utilize CAD and Revit to create and oversee the development of detailed design plans.
Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and client specifications.
Review and approve design documents and drawings Survey Management:
Conduct and oversee field surveys to gather necessary data for design projects.
Use System Surveyor to streamline and enhance the survey and design process (preferred but not mandatory). Quality Control:
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of design documents.
Conduct regular reviews of team output to maintain high standards of work Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on project status, team performance, and any issues encountered.
Present findings and progress updates to senior management. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in design management or a similar role.
Proficiency in CAD and Revit is required.
RCDD preferred.
Experience with System Surveyor or similar survey program is a plus.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent project management abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work $65,000 – $100,000 a year
