Director of Field Marketing
Position Summary:
MeridianLink is seeking a dynamic and strategic Field Marketing Director to lead our regional marketing initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Demand, the ideal candidate will drive activities designed to generate pipeline and reduce the sales cycle for our innovative FinTech solutions. The Director of Field Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive demand and revenue growth in our target markets via local activity, such as field events (conferences, tradeshows, user groups, experiential events, etc.), localized digital demand, appointment setting, ABM and C-level engagement. The role will be responsible for building relationships and strategy alignment with key internal stakeholders, industry associations and organizations to increase brand awareness and generate new business opportunities. This role requires close collaboration with sales, product, and corporate marketing teams to create and execute impactful campaigns tailored to specific regional needs. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Financial industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing successful field marketing demand generation initiatives.
Expected Duties:
Strategy Development:
· The Director of Field Marketing will work closely with sales, demand generation, rev-ops to identify target accounts.
· Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and competitive differentiation.
· Develop and implement comprehensive field marketing strategies that align with MeridianLink’s overall marketing and sales objectives.
Campaign Management & Execution:
· Design and execute regional marketing campaigns (including events, webinars, digital marketing, and account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives) to generate leads and drive pipeline growth through managing all aspects of event planning and execution, including logistics, vendor management, budgeting, and follow-up.
· Collaborate with product marketing to ensure campaigns effectively communicate product value propositions and benefits.
Sales Collaboration & Strategic Relationships:
· Partner with regional sales teams to align marketing activities with sales goals and support lead generation and pipeline development.
· Provide sales teams with tools, resources, and training to effectively utilize marketing initiatives in their selling processes.
· Expected to collaborate with the product marketing team to ensure messaging and positioning align with field marketing and event efforts.
· Expected to keep up to date on industry trends and competitive activity, making recommendations for new or revised programs as needed.
· Must be able to create and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Performance Analysis:
· Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, using data to optimize strategies and improve ROI.
· Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, results, provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
· Budget Management:
· Develop and manage budgets for field marketing and event programs, ensuring ROI and accountability for spending and efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact.
· Track expenses and provide regular budget updates to senior management.
Team Leadership:
· Lead and mentor a team of field marketing managers and coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
· Oversee recruitment, development, and performance management of the field marketing team.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· The Director of Field Marketingrole requires the establishment of annual objectives and the execution of tactics to meet those objectives. This includes P&L responsibilities. The role will have a broad knowledge of the field with proven leadership skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Experience with marketing and sales automation tools, including HubSpot, Outreach.io, Salesforce.com
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire a team towards achieving marketing and organizational goals.
· Creativity: Innovative approach to developing marketing strategies and solving problems.

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
· 8+ years of experience in B2B field and event marketing, preferably in the financial services industry
· Demonstrated success in developing and executing field marketing and event plans that drive revenue growth and pipeline generation.
· Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team and cross-functional relationships.
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary range of $138,400 – $185,000 [It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.] The actual salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law including geographical location.
