We’ve developed our own ERP and CRM software, enabling us to operate more efficiently than many of our competitors. This efficiency allows us to pass those savings on to our customers. Patients spend too much of their healthcare budget on admin and overhead in our industry, and not enough goes towards healthcare delivery.

About the role:

A critical role we’re looking to hire for is a Technical SEO Specialist. SEO is one of our most important growth channels so position will have a big impact on our marketing team.

This is a part-time position, including approximately 10-20 hours of work per week on an ongoing basis. As a freelancer, you won’t be viewed as a line item or second-class citizen. Instead, you’ll play an integral role on our marketing team. At the same time, we also appreciate that you likely have other projects you’re juggling and a life outside of work. We’ll provide you with the flexibility you need to manage your schedule and other priorities.

We understand there is a broad range of skills needed to execute an SEO campaign. We aren’t expecting someone who can do it all. SEO requires a team effort. For this role, we’re looking for someone with deep experience in technical SEO and site optimization. You won’t be expected to execute link-building campaigns or write new content from scratch, but you’ll have the chance to contribute in those areas if you’d like or want exposure to other marketing channels. You’ll collaborate with the rest of the marketing team to grow organic website traffic to help attract new clients and healthcare staff to join The CareSide.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of SEO experience in an in-house or agency setting
  • You’re fluent with tools such as Screaming Frog, Majestic, SEMrush, Google Analytics, Googe Search Console, and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience with WordPress and a solid understanding of CSS, HTML, and Javascript
  • Understand how to separate signal from noise and know what website issues to prioritize
  • Strong understanding of Google’s algorithm and search engine crawlers
  • Comfortable analyzing data from Google and Bing Webmaster tools
  • Ability to communicate and report analysis and recommendations
  • Bonus points if you have experience using automation tools such as Zapier

Responsibilities:

  • Execute website audits and site crawls to ensure content is properly indexed
  • Collaborate with our WordPress developer to improve page speed, mobile responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals
  • Provide SEO guidance during our website redesign to ensure existing traffic and rankings are maintained
  • Optimize existing content for keyword rankings and user experience, and improve website information architecture
  • Add schema markup and internal links
  • Analyze website traffic and analytics to provide strategic recommendations to the marketing team to ensure SEO has a seat at the table
  • Define an SEO strategy roadmap and work cross-functionally with other team members such as content marketer, UX designer, and PR

Compensation:

  • $30-$80 USD per hour
